Next-Generation Clients
The Next Generation of Luxury Clients Wants More Than a Product
Younger luxury clients look for meaning, experience and community alongside craftsmanship. Brands that understand this will earn their loyalty early.

The next generation of luxury clients is digitally fluent, values-led and often more experience-driven than the generation before. They still value craftsmanship and quality, but they increasingly want to know what a brand stands for and how it makes them feel.
McKinsey and The Business of Fashion’s 2026 State of Luxury research on US and Chinese clients points to shifting expectations across generations and markets — a reminder that one approach to clienteling will not serve every client.
Experiences matter. The Eventbrite and dcdx Fourth Spaces report found that 62% of surveyed US adults aged 18–35 preferred lightly structured events and 79% were interested in events combining multiple interests — useful context for brands designing communities rather than campaigns.
The next generation is not less loyal. It simply expects loyalty to be earned in new ways.
Communication must be relevant and respectful. Younger clients often prefer messaging over calls, expect quick and natural responses, and quickly disengage from anything that feels scripted.
Advisors need confidence to build relationships across generations — sometimes with a family that spans three of them. Training should cover not just product but culture, tone and digital etiquette.
Haus of Amber helps brands prepare their teams to build relationships with tomorrow’s clients while honouring today’s.
